DESCRIPTION/DETAILS

The Genocide Education Project, in close coordination with the LAUSD, is organizing and conducting full-day teacher-training workshops for LAUSD teachers.  The Genocide Education Project will be working with teachers regarding genocide and human rights education (with a specific focus on the Armenian Genocide). All LAUSD secondary level world history teachers will eventual attends a training session and will receive extensive materials on the subject to take back their classrooms. The first sets of workshops were conducted during the 2005-2006 academic year and will continue until the remaining teachers have completed the training program.
